Serra Rose and Ellen Klowden have crafted something truly special here – a dark fantasy that's both gripping and emotionally resonant. Picking up twenty years after the events of the first book, Death's Shadow throws us headfirst into the lives of Zachary and Raven, two cousins grappling with newly awakened, terrifying abilities. The authors masterfully build on the foundation laid in The Shadow Within, expanding the world and deepening the stakes in a way that felt both natural and thrilling.

From the very first page, I was hooked. The pacing is phenomenal; the story unfolds with a relentless energy that kept me turning pages late into the night. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions. One moment you're on the edge of your seat, heart pounding with suspense as Zac and Raven face seemingly insurmountable odds, the next you’re weeping for the characters, so invested in their journeys and struggles.
